Solar Eclipse 2015 Pictures is Mission Accomplished

Yeah, no, not that joint picture that's just to illustrate how impossible it is to capture with a phone camera. Thank goodness for ND filters and cloud coverage funnily enough.

The pictures are still in RAW format in my camera and I won't be able to process them until later tonight when I get home but I'm quite pleased with what I got given what I have to work with.

Also bear in mind that here in Edinburgh was only a 97% eclipse so no picture of the corona I'm afraid, the Apex looks more like the Cheshire Cat appeared in the sky, it's quite funny actually. so keep an eye out for those pictures.

I forgot how dramatically temperatures drop during an eclipse though, my fingers are only just recovering. I do love the eerie twilight you get, it's not like evening twilight and it's dark enough to trigger lamp posts. Sure makes up for missing out on Tuesday night's aurora.
