Scientists want to terraform Mars with micro-organisms

This is an interesting idea in principle but as with every other project related to Mars' colonisation there is one huge elephant in the room that no one seems to want to address.

Mars is not a geologically active planet and because of that, it has a very weak magnetic field. The consequences of that is solar winds constantly strip the martian atmosphere into outer space. It also means the planet is bombarded with high levels of cosmic radiation which doesn't sound like a place anyone would want to live.

If this problem has a solution for a sustainable terraformation of Mars, I'd like to know what it is.
