I posted about the outrageous practice that is Facebook freebooting before and it seems they're doing nothing to abate the practice.
It's one thing to use Facebook to share your puppy pictures with your mum, it's quite another when you willingly contribute to the robbing of content creators copyright. I suppose the addiction that comes with the platform supercedes all moral values but the fact is this practice is similar to Spotify never paying musicians for the subscription they sell. If Spotify or Google or Apple did this, there would be outrage in the main stream media, but for some reason it's fine for Facebook to do this very practice, albeit with YouTube content creators.
So if you do use Facebook, next time you notice a video stolen from YouTube, notify the original creator so that they can at least mitigate their loss.
