It's always good to see people truly fighting for you.

  1. Things I do know about it, if the UK votes to leave the EU, it's a non-binding vote, anyway, (don't tell the leave campaign), and the government will have to invoke Article 50 and pass legislation, after which all 27 members countries in the EU will spend another 2 years of negotiation in the EU, followed by a proposal in the EU Commission and ratification in the EU Parliament.

This will give some breathing space for EU citizens living in the UK, and UK citizens living in the EU some time to get some actual answers to this.

It is something that should have been addressed properly by parliament already, but frankly, both sides of this referendum campaign have plumbed the depths of fear-mongering and scare stories already, and it's mainly a tory civil war, and the tories, generally don't even care about UK citizens, never mind citizens of other countries in the EU.

It's just another facet of this whole half-assed referendum, the whole thing was rushed through without much thought about the outcome, or it's effects.

  2. +Jean-Loup Rebours-Smith No, I agree, not all of us have been taken in by the scare stories and misinformation of either side.

But having recently experienced the tricks and misinformation of 'Project Fear' during the Scottish Independence referendum, I suppose I'm more used to it, as should many Scots be.

The campaign for remain should really be focusing on what the EU actually does to benefit the UK, not on scare stories of what might happen if the UK leaves the EU.

While it's true the leaving the EU might have some negative effects on our economy, in both long and short term, that's speculation, as is the leave campaign's insistence that the UK would be better off economically by being able to make our own trade deals, that is also speculative.

In the end, for me at least, being a part of the EU helps protect our rights, helps protect our environment, and helps protect our trade with other EU countries.

I just received a leaflet today from @Leave Scotland' which was filled with inaccuracy and misinformation, like the £350 million a day lie, (We both know that's the Gross figure, and does not take account of the rebates, and the income the UK receives back from the EU as investment in our environment, schools, universities and research).,
