Imagine that, energy produced from wind last Sunday was enough to cover the whole of Scotland's needs for the day
This is significant as a milestone towards a true zero-carbon economy. The important bit here is the fact that the numbers only cover wind energy. There are other renewable energy projects in Scotland including solar, tidal, hydro and wave. Many are still at the experimental stage but others like Hydro have been around for a long time.
So I would be interested to see the whole picture of how much energy was produced from all combined renewable sources on that day to get an idea of the potential for a fully sustainable energy production strategy in Scotland.
