+The Scottish Parliament – Pàrlamaid na h-Alba
The official building of The Scottish Parliament was opened on 9th October 2004 and was designed by Barcelona architectural firm EMBT. It is designed to be a sustainable building using many local materials and borrowing a lot of organic forms from the natural world and from historical clues.
Back when it first opened I was so focused on old historical buildings that I did not care much for the style of this building but having visited it today I can say it is a marvellous feat of architecture, if a little heavy on the use of concrete. There is apparently not a single straight line in it and when you go in, it certainly shows.
If you visit Edinburgh, or even if you live here, it's certainly worth coming to visit.

Is it within Endinburgh's city limits?
