Season 11 of +The X-Files to mostly feature Monster-of-the-week episodes
It seems we won't see much about the conspiracy this coming season and that like season 10 those will be used as bookends for the season. Whether this is the right format is up for debate. Shorter seasons of the show weren't done until season 10 and because there were so few episodes a few of them seemed to have had too much going on in them (eg. Home Again).
What worries me a little is that the search for William, which they absolutely have to do after the season 10 finale, will be too short to provide any kind of meaningful tension but at this point we'll have to wait and see.
Are you guys happy to see more standalone episodes or would you prefer more conspiracy?

‘The X-Files’ Largely Ditching Mythology Episodes Next Season
Fox has taken the hint: The X-Files is going to largely avoid its wildly complex mythology episodes next season. The return of the sci-fi hit for the 2018 season contains 10 episodes, with stars Da…

As long as it not like season 10 and has more eps in it like the originals thne I'm happy
X files are noticed for the conspiracy theories not the monsters of the week
More conspiracy.. means more truth if they are really going to show the truth
The truth is out there somewhere
+dennis grisham even in some first seasons they have gave us already a glimpse of truth.. I have recognized it as I have been into Matrixology and Secret Government programs for the last years.. The documents and files I managed to find and read were reflected in the serial but as I said just some little specs, not fully revealed
So much true it is
They are among us
Good
+dennis grisham yesssss…they ARE also above us… sadly
AMEN on Sadly
+lizzy/hena/remilia chudley 10 episodes instead of 6
+Jean-Loup Rebours-Smith i know hehe
Wasn't keen on the bookending mythology eps last time. The mix was handled better in previous series, but X-Files characters have an amazing ability to forget details like impending doom – "Nothing important happened here today. Next case." 😉
Time to move on
Ugggh so they aren't picking up after scully saw the ufo now i am disappointed
+The Truth yes they are, that'll be the first episode. Read the article I posted for more info.
last season was rather weak and not as exciting, too much hype maybe ran it's course as well as nostalgia
Oh yea of little faith. Do you give up in bed so easily ?
Good , well overdue…
it's all about conspiracy mixed in with some comic relief
I don't want them to ditch the mythology entirely, as the ufo mythology was largely the reason why molder started at the FBI. They need to close it out right. On the flip side, I'd like them to get into more up to date sci Fi like parallel universes
+Charles Austin they didn't say they would ditch it completely
More conspiracy would be nice….
+Jean-Loup Rebours-Smith yeah I know they just won't devote as much episodes to the mythology. It's actually the mythology that hit me hooked on it.
Can't wait
Its actually called the dumbing down phase sheepoles.wake the hell up!
One of the first conspiracy theory shows and best
More conspiracy please
+Charles Austin +1, the mythology shows keep it fresh between the alien conspiracy gigs
The truth is out there somewhere, but there are some for whom it's their best interest you don't get to know about it.
I hope past story lines and suggestions are followed up on. But my favorite episode of this last series was about the tulpa 'band aid nose man'. So I'm torn. But I'd rather see what happened to William if I had my choice. I like Einstein and Miller also.
+Gary A Lucas The search for William will happen, there's no avoiding it at this point. Reviewing past story lines might work depending on which characters we're talking about. Eve would be a good one to go back to. these girls must have grown quite a bit in the past 24 years…
