It seems like there are dates out in the wild for Paul Gilbert to come on tour in Europe, presumably to promote Fuzz Universe. His official website has nothing past the July clinics in the US but a quick googling reveals some booking website offering tickets already.

Now, please note that none of these dates come from official sources. As you can see there are no dates in France for example where Paul is quite popular and thus would not miss a date. Also no date either in London or up here in Scotland, where we’re eagerly waiting for him. So please sprinkle a good pinch of salt over those.

Edit (11-08-10): Just added the London date, which you can book from the Seetickets website, a Finnish date which popped up on last.fm and some Italian dates from Viagogo.
Edit 2 (13-08-10): Added one date in Vienna courtesy of Eventim, and the Parisian date found on last.fm, and on infoconcert.com (incidentally, I’ll be in France on that day, ummm….)
Edit 3 (15-08-10): Paul has updated his website and the whole tour is now available, no new dates in the UK though 🙁 (new dates in red) And again, thanks to Jenn, I’m not the best, you are 🙂
Also note that VIP tickets are again available for this tour, so grab them while you can. Since Paul isn’t coming to Scotland this time, I won’t be getting one, but it sure would have been nice. Still, let’s hope there’ll be a next time up here.
Oh, J-L… You're close! You're pretty amazing. (You're GOOD – you were soooo close with those Japanese translations for Fuzz Universe. You were THE source for a couple days).
There are 35 dates… are none in Scotland, unfortunately. Caveat: it's early August – things could change, be added to, be cancelled, etc. Wait until Paul confirms the tour to put up a post about it. Then you will have all the dates "rock solid".
It's nice to have some of the info. out here "in the wild" early… that way, people can get the holiday time from work, they can save up for VIP tickets, hit the woodshed and start practicing like mad, etc. This gives us a goal to work towards: those magic concert dates in the future. 🙂

(Madrid for example was just added yesterday – when you and I found the list from Frontline, they had just updated it!)
There's no date for Budapest, and the support for Paul is tremendous in Budapest (and Hungary)! So either all of the venues his team wanted are booked solid for that timeframe, or there are still good things in the works for all of us PG fans. 🙂

Wasn't I just saying (2 minutes ago?) I hoped there was a Budapest date? I was joking around with a friend last night that I hoped it was at the 'Grampa Fuckin' Spaceshuttle club' because I couldn't remember the name of the venue that Mr. Big played at in 2009… So guess what just turned up? Check eventim.hu… I need to make more venue jokes! 😉
