The show has introduced a lot of familiar faces from Doug Hutchinson to Tony Shaloub, Jack Black or Giovanni Ribisi. Those had pretty major roles in the episodes they featured in.
Syzygy on the other hand, possibly one of the wackiest episodes not directed by Darin Morgan, features a fresh faced Ryan Reynolds at the start of the episode who ends up as just another victim of an episode with a rather high body count. Possibly emphasising the sheer lunacy of the episode is the idea that the alignment of celestial bodies in relation to the earth could possibly have any effect on our collective behaviour.
