Google introduces audio books on +Google Play
The system seems to be a straightforward buy and listen as opposed to the +Audible subscription system, at least in the UK version. I'm not seeing a dedicated app in the play store or a modification to play books to accommodate for that.
They're running some promotions already to kick it off so if you were looking to find an alternative to Audible this may be worth looking into.
