Chapelle de la Misericorde – Caen

This mostly ruined 13th century church is only a stone-throw away from Caen Castle and looking at it from the ramparts you'd be forgiven to think that this was still a fully built church as it appears in one piece amongst the surrounding buildings (including the hospital where I was born) but the reality is this church was mostly destroyed during the June and July 1944 bombings.

Nowadays it is used by members of the Anglican church.
