16th c. houses, Caen town centre

Colloquially known as "The Post Office museum" as this was what was housed there until recently, these two traditionnal Norman-style houses right in the city centre of Caen were somehow spared during the heavy WWII bombing of the city and have recently had their facade restored.

If you look closely you can see some intricate patterns in between the wooden beams.
