Dzongzar Kyentse Rinpoche writes an open letter to Aung San Suu Kyi and it’s pretty scathing
… towards the West while offering his full support to the Burmese leader.
It’s actually hard to disagree with anything he says here and it reads as one of these pieces of truly uncomfortable truths that we often think about but dare not speak out loud.
Yeah I would rather he hadn’t used a quote from Bannon to make a point but I think by doing so he drives the nail a little further home because the truth isn’t always comfortable and even the worst people can say things you can agree with (if you quote then out of context).
Whatever your opinion about Suu Kyi and her (lack of) actions towards the Rohinga issue, all those acts of stripping her of awards (including the city of Edinburgh) is purely Western arrogance at its best (worst?)
