Casting into the void

It’s strange no longer having G+. I got so accustomed to this place, it was where my audience was once upon a time, such as it was. Now it feels like I’m sitting on the edge of the universe and all I can see is darkness and the occasional shooting star which reminds me that there is still solid ground under my feet.

But in many ways it’s nice to have a ritual like this. Some place to share a small vision of beauty and a few unrelated words which will mean nothing to anyone but myself. At least whoever passes by can always just look at a pretty flower. And flowers are everywhere, even in the depths of the cosmos you can find galaxies and nebulae which reminds you of some pretty flower you may have come across once.

  1. Good to hear from you as always, Jean-Loup! We who were left behind have some rather inflated expectations of G+ performance on G Suite, I expect! I have added some after-the-demise material on gplusmigration.com which might be of interest. No zombie seems to know what Google intends as a final product. Everybody is hoping for interaction, but ….

    1. Thanks Jeff, my understanding of the GSuite integration is that it’s meant to provide some platform for employees to interact within their own domain, much like Yammer I would imagine so I wouldn’t expect the same level of experience as before such as being able to see posts from other domains. But then I never used G+ with a GSuite account so who knows.
