Fascinating old documentary about the making of traditional Kauhava knives
Kauhava is not a big place and unless, like me, you spend quite a few train trips on the Tampere to Rovaniemi line you’d probably have never heard of it.
Still the craftsmanship on this is astounding and far more intricate than the puukko knife I got for myself some 15 years ago. It’s definitely a challenging project for any budding knife maker…
